EC & CO Consulting are partnering with a well-established national business to recruit a Branch Manager to lead and grow a high-performing operation within the labour hire sector.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive profitability, lead from the front in business development, and manage a team of 3, building a strong, compliant and engaged workforce.
We’re also open to speaking with Senior Recruitment Consultants (blue collar / light industrial) who are ready to take the next step into leadership.
About the Role
You will take full ownership of branch performance, with a focus on growth, profitability, service delivery and team development.
Key responsibilities include:
Business Development & Growth
Drive new business and maximise existing client relationships
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
Conduct client meetings, site visits and professional presentations
Stay across market trends and competitor activity
Deliver against branch targets and growth objectives
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor and develop a team of 3
Provide ongoing coaching, training and career development opportunities
Conduct regular performance reviews and manage employee relations
Create a positive, accountable and results-driven culture
Operations & Compliance
Oversee branch compliance, including client and workforce adherence
Manage safety, quality and operational standards
Monitor insurance, policies and legislative requirements
Control bad debt and ensure strong financial governance
Marketing & Brand Presence
Drive local marketing initiatives and campaigns
Maintain consistent advertising and candidate attraction strategies
Collaborate with internal marketing to support brand growth
Financial Performance
Manage P&L, ensuring strong margins and cost control
Maximise gross profit and overall branch performance
Deliver on agreed KPIs, SLAs and budget expectations
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in labour hire, recruitment or blue-collar industries
Strong background in business development and client management
Leadership experience OR a Senior Recruiter ready to step up
Solid understanding of awards, EBAs, payroll and compliance (especially within light industrial sectors)
Commercial mindset with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability
High energy, self-motivated and results-driven
