Are you a creative leader with a passion for digital content and design strategy? We’re partnering with a fast-paced, product-driven organisation seeking an experienced Digital Design Manager to lead their high-performing team across a wide variety of digital and design initiatives.

This is a 7-month maternity leave contract based onsite in Tullamarine, offering you the chance to step into a critical leadership role, working across eCommerce, marketplaces, creative production, and brand campaigns.

As the Digital Design Manager, you’ll drive awareness, engagement, and conversion across digital platforms by leading digital design strategy and managing key creative projects from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, eCommerce, IT, and customer service teams, while also managing a small, motivated design team.

You’ll bring both creative vision and hands-on capability – ensuring all digital design is aligned with brand guidelines, user-centric principles, and commercial objectives.

• Lead creative direction and visual identity across all digital platforms.
   
• Manage and mentor a team of designers and creatives.
   
• Develop engaging visual assets for web, social media, email marketing, and motion design.
   
• Project manage all digital design initiatives – from briefing to delivery.
   
• Create and enforce structured workflows, processes, and briefing documentation.
   
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless creative outcomes.
   
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure content aligns with KPIs (engagement, awareness, conversion).
   

• Proven experience leading digital design projects within a product or brand-focused environment.
   
• Strong skills in creative direction, digital branding, UI/UX, and motion design.
   
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma and project management tools.
   
• Highly organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
   
• Experience mentoring or managing a small creative team.
   
• A collaborative, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments.
   

• Experience in eCommerce or digital marketing environments.
   
• Confidence working with ELT or presenting project updates.
   
• An interest in social media trends and content-led growth strategies.
